Continuing with their FeelGoodFriday program, Cast Members from Walt Disney World surprised another community organization with a sizable donation. This week the Central Florida Community Arts program was selected.
Cast Members crashed the group’s weekly choir rehearsal to deliver the news that they would be receiving a $100,000 grant, which will help expand the program to more local students who might not otherwise be exposed to the arts. The expansion will include arts-focused camps and programs that will be introduced to select local schools.
“Central Florida Community Arts serves to build and strengthen communities through the arts and creative expression. Their mission is to provide accessibility to the arts at a young age, enabling enriching experiences that lead to lifelong engagement and appreciation for the arts. Through the organization’s unique programming, local students are learning how to express themselves in healthy, creative ways, while working with others in team-building environments.”
The surprise announcement included a visit from a Walt Disney World a capella group, which serenaded the more than 175 members of the Central Florida Community Arts choir.
