Disney Teams Up with Snapchat to Offer Augmented Reality Pics

Together with Snapchat, Walt Disney World is planning to bring a magical augmented reality experience to your Disney PhotoPass photos that will also feature some of your favorite Disney characters.

The Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse Lenses will be available in the Snapchat app (download on the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store) only at Walt Disney World Resort, but to celebrate the launch – and other special experiences to come! – you can try them at home, anywhere in the U.S., until June 3rd.

To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort, Disney PhotoPass and Snap are working to virtually transform Cinderella Castle within your photos.

Using the My Disney Experience app, you’ll be able to place your favorite image captured by Disney PhotoPass photographers on the iconic castle with augmented reality. Look through your camera lens in the app and you’ll see a beautiful mosaic of special moments shared by other guests to celebrate the 50th Anniversary. Take a look at the video below to see how it will work.
