Disneyland Resort has plenty of new updates to check out this September. Along with new Disney merchandise and Halloween decorations, guests will also notice construction happening throughout Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure.
Here are some of the newest changes you can spot during your next visit.
New Coco Lantern Sipper Arrives
A new Coco Lantern Sipper has arrived at the Disneyland Resort for Plaza de la Familia. Inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Coco, the colorful lantern features several familiar characters and includes lighting effects and a spinning center.
The sipper makes a fun seasonal souvenir, especially for fans of Coco. Because Disney often sells popular sippers while supplies last, collectors may want to pick one up during their visit.
Disney Store Japan Plush Keychains Arrive | $17.99
Disney merchandise from Japan has also arrived at Disneyland Resort.
The latest selection includes adorable Disney Store Japan plush keychains, giving guests another opportunity to find international Disney merchandise without traveling overseas. These smaller plush are also easy to display, collect, or attach to a Disney bag.
The selection can change quickly, so merchandise hunters may want to check the store during their visit.
New Create-Your-Own Headband Blind Boxes | $13,99
The popular Create-Your-Own Plush Headbands have received a new mystery twist.
Guests can choose a headband base and then purchase a blind-box plush attachment. Instead of knowing which character is inside, shoppers discover their character after opening the box.
The collection includes several Disney favorites, making the mystery boxes another fun option for collectors. Plus, the ability to customize the headband lets guests create a combination that feels unique.
New Halloween Decor at Disneyland Hotel
Halloween decorations continue to appear around the Disneyland Resort.
At the Disneyland Hotel, new pumpkin décor can now be seen near Goofy’s Kitchen. The seasonal display adds bright fall colors and Disney Halloween details to the area.
It is also a great place to stop for photos before or after enjoying a character meal at Goofy’s Kitchen.
Construction Continues at Disney California Adventure
Guests visiting Disney California Adventure will notice several construction projects.
At Paradise Gardens, construction continues around The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure. The attraction’s exterior has been surrounded by construction walls and scrims while work takes place.
Additional construction is also visible near Paradise Garden Grill and nearby areas, including work around the restrooms and gazebo.
Despite the construction, guests can still enjoy many of the attractions and experiences in the area.
More Construction at Disneyland Park
Disneyland Park also has several noticeable construction zones.
Near the Disneyland entrance, crews have removed ticket booths as work continues in the area. This creates a very different look for guests arriving at the park and marks another major change to the resort’s entrance.
Over on Main Street, U.S.A., construction walls have appeared in Town Square near The Mad Hatter and Disney Showcase. The work has changed part of the walkway and created another noticeable construction area.
Guests heading toward the Tour Gardens area may also encounter construction and changing walking paths.
More Construction at Downtown Disney
Construction is also noticeable at Downtown Disney, including around Napolini Pizzeria. The restaurant and nearby shops are currently surrounded by construction walls and coverings as exterior work continues.
Despite the work, guests can still access Napolini and the neighboring businesses. The area looks different right now, adding to the many changes happening across the Disneyland Resort.
Disneyland Resort Continues to Change
Between the new merchandise, Halloween decorations and ongoing construction, there is a lot happening around Disneyland Resort right now.
The Coco Lantern Sipper, Disney Store Japan plush keychains and new blind-box headbands give collectors plenty to look for. Meanwhile, the new pumpkin décor brings Halloween spirit to the Disneyland Hotel.
At the same time, construction continues at both parks, from Paradise Gardens and The Little Mermaid at Disney California Adventure to Town Square and the Disneyland entrance.
If you are visiting Disneyland this September, take a little extra time to explore. Even familiar areas may look different, and there are plenty of new details to discover.
