Once again this year, Dole Packaged Foods will be sponsoring a Summer Celebration throughout Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort, including entertainment on the Downtown Disney LIVE! Stage and special food items at many of the popular restaurants.
The Polynesian performers of Tupua will debut Saturday, July 1st , before beginning their regular Friday evening performances July 7th through September 1st.
During the Downtown Disney Summer Celebration many of the restaurants have come up with special dishes that include Dole pineapple.
Earl of Sandwich will be featuring a Hawaiian BBQ Sandwich, and the ESPN Zone will serve up Hawaiian Pork Sliders and a Pineapple Upside Down Cake.
Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria will be tossing Hawaiian BBQ Pizza, Rainforest Cafe is featuring their Taste of the Islands Entree, and Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen’s summer menu has Blackened Mahi Mahi, Peach Cobbler and Pineapple Milk Punch.
For something lighter, try the Summer Salad at Tortilla Jo’s, and for something spicy, taste the Chorizo and Pineapple Flatbread at Uva Bar.
For dessert (or a snack), enjoy the Hawaiian Pretzel at Wetzel’s Pretzels, a Dole Fruit Bowl at Jamba Juice, or the Banana Split Dazzler at Haagen-Dazs.
The Downtown Disney Summer Celebration continues at the Disneyland Resort through September 4th.
