A new event is coming to Walt Disney World Resort this Labor Day weekend.
The Labor Day Fan Zone will take place September 1-2 inside the Visa Athletic Center at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The event is an interactive fan festival which will feature high-energy music by a popular DJ, food and beverage options, event merchandise, vendor booths, character greetings, and big-screen televisions showing various sporting events. The event will take place 7:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m. on both days.
The Labor Day Fan Zone will give people a way to relax and have fun in between other activities they’re attending at the Sports Complex. The best part is that access to the Labor Day Fan Zone is included in the price of admission to ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. As a reminder, the Sports Complex admission price for adults and kids who are 10+ is $18.50; the admission price for children ages 3 – 9 is $13.50.
“More than 260 athletes from 43 teams – including five from the U.S. Virgin Islands and five from Puerto Rico – will participate in the Disney Labor Day Baseball Classic, August 31-September 3.”
Nearly 4,400 boys and girls soccer players from 270 teams around the country will be competing in the Disney Soccer Showcase Qualifier, September 1-3. This event is the precursor to the prestigious Disney Soccer Showcase events later this year, nationally regarded as the top youth soccer tournament in the country, attracting hundreds of college coaches looking for top recruits.
“Champions from each division of the Disney Soccer Showcase Qualifier earn automatic selection into the Disney Girls’ Soccer Showcase (Nov. 22-25) and the Disney Boys’ Soccer Showcase (Dec. 27-31).”
