Flyover planned for hotel guests to bypass Magic Kingdom toll plaza

Several road improvements are planned for the next few years at Walt Disney World. Among these is the announcement of a flyover over the Magic Kingdom’s toll plaza, allowing Magic Kingdom resort traffic to bypass the area without having to stop at the plaza.

  • Osceola Parkway at Victory Way (southeast of Disney’s Hollywood Studios) will be reconfigured and a flyover will be added to take traffic over Victory Way.
  • Western Way will be extended to Avalon Road, also known as County Road 545.
  • Traffic will gain more direct access to Floridian Way with a Center Drive bypass to the west for drivers going south from Reams Road.

Reedy Creek has passed a $350 million bond that will provide funding for the improvements. An exact timetable wasn’t announced, but according to Ann Blakeslee, Reedy Creek Deputy District Administrator, they should be completed in the next five years.

In the Downtown Disney area, a ramp from eastbound Buena Vista Drive that leads into the new parking garage will open September 8. The westbound ramp will open a half-mile spur leading from I-4 onto Epcot Center Drive in early October.

So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
