Hepatitis A Case Reported at Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue

Following November’s confirmed case of hepatitis A at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs, there’s word of another hepatitis A case being reported at Walt Disney World.

The new case has been connected to a food service worker at Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.

The case was reported to the Florida Department of Health on January 24th. Disney has cleaned and sanitized the restaurant following the report.

A spokesperson with Disney said:

Nothing is more important to us than safety. Upon learning this news, we immediately began working with the Florida Department of Health in Orange County. The impacted cast member has not worked since being diagnosed and will not return until officially cleared by the Department of Health. We are not aware of anyone else becoming ill and continue to be engaged with the Department of Health to ensure we have all of the right processes in place to protect our cast members and guests.

Guests who have dined at Hoop-Dee-Doo recently can contact the Florida Department of Health at 407-858-1420 for more information.
