Hyperspace Mountain at Disneyland to Close Jan. 7 as Star Wars Overlay is Removed

Hyperspace Mountain originally began at Disneyland back in 2015 as part of ‘Season of the Force’ and has come and go periodically ever since.

Most recently, the overlay that includes scenes of X-Wings, Starfighters, and the Millennium Falcon on the interior walls as guests fly through Space Mountain was added on May the Fourth and was extended in celebration of the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

We’ve learned that the attraction will close January 7, 2020, for a one-day refurbishment as the overlay is removed and the classic Space Mountain attraction returns to Tomorrowland.
