Japanese Company Introduces Disney Princess-Inspired Wedding Dresses

We’ve learned that a Japanese wedding company, Kuraudia Co., has partnered with Disney Japan to create a line of wedding dresses based on fairy tale royalties. There will reportedly be fourteen dresses inspired by six Disney Princesses. This news might be a welcome addition to those brides who have been looking for another Disney Princess-themed option since Alfred Angelo, former designer of the Disney Fairy Tale Weddings Bridal Collection, filed bankruptcy earlier this year and left existing gown orders unfulfilled.

There is somewhat of a catch, however. These gorgeous gowns will only be available exclusively for rent within the country according to reports from Business Insider.

The dresses will reportedly rent for $3,600 and will come with the option of a matching Prince Charming tux for an additional $900.

The gowns are following the form of Disney’s most popular princesses and they are not your typical white wedding dresses. For example, the Belle wedding dress appears to be nearly identical to the gown worn by the character in the Beauty and the Beast film. Based on the photos that have been shared by the company, gowns inspired by Snow White, the Little Mermaid, Cinderella, Rapunzel and Sleeping Beauty will also be available.

The fairy tale princess dresses will reportedly be available for rent beginning November 1, 2017. It is unknown at this time whether or not these gowns will be available worldwide, but we’ll let you know if we hear anything.
