According to Collider, Lucasfilm is reportedly planning on holding off on moving forward with any standalone Star Wars spinoff films for the time being. Right now, the studio apparently wants to focus on Star Wars: Episode IX, a new trilogy series from Rian Johnson who directedStar Wars: The Last Jedi, as well as films produced and written by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss (known as the masterminds behind Game of Thrones).
This decision would mean Star Wars fans won’t likely see an Obi-Wan Kenobi or Boba Fett spinoff film happening anytime soon. Any of the early development and writing of these films has seemingly been shut down. The underperformance of Solo: A Star Wars Story in the box office is what likely shifted the focus anyway from standalone spinoff films.
Additionally, the new Star Wars live action series that is being developed by Jon Favreau is still on schedule and is apparently not linked to the aforementioned projects that are being shut down.
