As we reported this past summer, the Patina Restaurant Group is adding Maria & Enzo’s to Disney Springs. When it opens, Maria & Enzo’s Ristorante will be an open and airy eatery with 50-foot high ceilings, a grand staircase, and floor-to-ceiling views of Lake Buena Vista with décor that will celebrate the golden age of travel. The new upscale restaurant will serve up authentic Italian cuisine in its new location that will be shared with The Edison.
We also mentioned that Maria & Enzo’s might include a “rum running tunnel” and today, we’ve heard that Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar will exist inside what were said to be rum-runner tunnels that will be accessible through Maria & Enzo’s. Enzo’s Hideaway is said to have a “speak-easy vibe with a Roman appertivo cocktail bar, creating a truly unique gathering place for a pre-or-post dinner drink, lunch, or dinner.”
Pizza Ponte will be the perfect place for a quick nosh in the morning, afternoon, or late-night. On the menu will be a variety of house-baked sweet-and-savory Italian pastries and sandwiches; and Pizza al Taglio, Sicilian-style pizza.
Nick Valenti, the CEO of Patina Restaurant Group, confirmed that the new modern Italian restaurant and bar concepts are brand new and were each created with unique menus. The three restaurants adjacent to The Edison will form an expansive dining complex that will showcase authentic Italian food and entertainment.
According to Valenti, the new concepts tie into the Disney Springs storyline of a restored Florida waterfront town.
“They are inspired by the cuisines of Sicily and Rome, the Italian family, and the best of Italian modern cooking. Our inspiration is to bring unforgettable food and wine from Italy to Florida, with the stunning scenery you only find at Disney.”
