Pete Doctor the Chief Creative Officer of Pixar discussed new details about the upcoming film Soul at The Walt Disney Studios panel at the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California. The film will reportedly be about how our personality and soul is created before we are even born. This slightly abstract concept will be showcased using a character named Joe who is a music teacher living in New York City who dreams of playing at the famous jazz club Blue Note.
Soul will star Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Daveed Diggs, Phylicia Rashad, and Questlove, and will feature music from Jon Batiste, Trent Reznor, and Atticus Ross.
Soul is scheduled to hit theater son June 19, 2020.
