Disney Springs guests looking for a cool treat now have a brand-new option to try.
Morimoto Asia has officially launched its new Kakigōri Kool cart today, June 23, 2026, bringing a taste of a beloved Japanese summer tradition to Walt Disney World’s shopping and dining district.
Located just outside Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs‘ West Side, the new offering is notable for another reason: Disney says it will be the only shaved ice cart currently available at Disney Springs.
Kakigōri has been enjoyed in Japan for centuries and is a popular summertime dessert made with finely shaved ice, flavored syrups, and a variety of toppings. Known for its light, fluffy texture that resembles freshly fallen snow, kakigōri is commonly found at festivals, fairs, street stalls, and convenience stores throughout Japan.
Guests visiting the new cart can choose from two different creations.
The Signature Kakigōri features frozen vanilla custard topped with shaved ice, cherry syrup, pineapple syrup, blue raspberry syrup, condensed milk, and diced pineapple. It sounds like a colorful and indulgent option for those looking for something a bit more substantial than traditional shaved ice.
For a lighter choice, the Classic Kakigōri combines shaved ice with grape, cherry, and lemon syrups for a refreshing treat that’s perfect for a hot Florida afternoon.
Beverage options at the cart include bottled Acqua Panna water and Perrier Sparkling Water.
Morimoto Asia has become a favorite dining destination at Disney Springs since opening in 2015, offering Pan-Asian cuisine from Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. The addition of Kakigōri Kool expands the restaurant’s offerings beyond its dining room and provides another quick-service snack option for guests exploring Disney Springs this summer.
