New topiaries and two new Outdoor Kitchens added for 2017 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

Richly-hued floral beds and floating gardens adorn the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival. The festival, which runs a record 90 days March 2-May 30, 2016 at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., also features dozens of character topiaries, stunning floral displays, gardening seminars and the Garden Rocks concert series - all included in regular Epcot admission. A few years ago when Outdoor Kitchens started showing up at the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival, guests were thrilled and the offerings were pretty fabulous. While no further details have been offered at this time, it’s exciting to hear this morning that two new Outdoor Kitchens are being added to the 2017 Festival.

Figment is going to play a big part in the upcoming Festival as there will reportedly be a six-foot topiary of this beloved character balancing on a floral ball. Figment has been known to have a big presence at the Epcot International Food And Wine Festival that takes place in the Fall each year and I’m hoping to see some fun new merchandise with the fun-loving purple dinosaur featured. Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy, and Pluto will be present in topiary form to greet guests at the front of the park in a garden inspired by a Walt Disney short film. I always look forward to the floral displays at the front entrance of the park.

Snow White, Ana and Elsa from Disney’s Frozen along with Belle from Disney’s Beauty and the Beast will all be featured in a “next-generation” Princess topiary. The Belle topiary is reported to be getting a “major makeover” so I’m looking forward to that as well!

The interactive play garden this year will be themed around Disney Pixar’s Cars and will feature a new character topiary from the upcoming Cars 3 film which is set to hit theaters on June 16, 2017.

We’ll bring you more details as they become available, so keep an eye out right here.
