Orlando After-School Program Gets $100K Grant From Disney

Recently, Walt Disney World surprised another nonprofit youth organization in Central Florida with a large Disney Grant.

Almost 100 students from the Orlando After-School All-Stars visited ESPN Wide World of Sports for what they thought was a tour of the complex. Instead, they were surprised with the $100,000 grant.

Tyler Chandler, the Regional Executive Director for South Central Region After-School All-Stars, says the money will be used to help expand their Opportunity Jobs Academy program that helps connects students to leaders in industries that interest them, as well as offers on-the-job training and job experience.

During their visit, the students also head a chance to chat with Disney leaders to discuss different career paths.
