The Disneyland Resort has shared some details about the upcoming Disneyland After Dark: Sweethearts Nite events that are taking place in Disneyland Park on February 12th and 13th. As with most of these events, the night will include special entertainment, themed food, photo opportunities, and unique merchandise.
To keep with the romantic theme, guests will be able to take a moonlight voyage on the Mark Twain or sway to their favorite long songs at a dance party. In addition, D23: The Official Disney Fan Club will help transform the Golden Horseshoe into “Tempus Fugit Celebration,” a nod to Walt and Lillian Disney’s 30th anniversary party that took place at Disneyland just days before it opened.
At the Royal Princess Ball, guests will be able to waltz beside some of their favorite Disney couples, including Aurora and Prince Phillip, Jasmine and Aladdin, and Cinderella and Prince Charming. In other areas of the park, guests can meet Princess Tiana and Naveen, Hercules and Megara, Mickey and Minnie, and more.
It wouldn’t be a party with out specialty food items, so guests can look forward to the Pucker Up Churro at the Tomorrowland churro cart, the Sweet Cherry-Nova Milkshake at Galactic Grill, and much more.
For the ultimate romantic make a reservation at Plaza Inn for the Sweethearts Dining Package. Guests will enjoy a three-course prix fix meal of spaghetti and meatballs, Caesar salad, herbed breadsticks, and cannoli, plus a beverage. Reservations for this special experience open February 7th.
In addition to the character encounters, guests will be able to pose in front of backdrops featuring romantic scenes from classic Disney movies like Lady and the Tramp, Tangled, and WALL-E. Tickets for the event include unlimited PhotoPass digital downloads of photos taken during the event.
Merchandise for the event will include lightweight hoodies and shareable pins. In addition, fine jewelry designer Amireh Parstabar will be hosting a Crislu trunk show at the Emporium and offering a free gift with purchase.
Of course, a fireworks extravaganza will top off the night (barring any winds at higher elevations).
The after hours event officially begins at 9:00pm each evening, but ticketed guests can enter Disneyland Park as early as 6:00pm. Tickets are still available for the February 12th event, however February 13th is sold out.
