In a Disney Parks Blog article detailing some of the dining options that are available during the holidays at Walt Disney World, mention was made that “due to their overwhelming popularity,” the My Disney Experience app and DisneyWorld.com are now the preferred methods for booking and modifying table service dining reservations “beginning today.”
Calling Disney Dining has remained the preferred method for booking and modifying dining reservations for years prior to being able to do it yourself on the My Disney Experience app and even after it launched. Now, Disney says it’s officially preferred to do it electronically. This, of course, makes it more important than ever to keep your mobile devices charged.
Interestingly, the article goes on to advise guests that they can rest assured and “as always, cast members at the Disney Reservation Center will continue to be available to help with reservations for groups of eight or more, same-day cancelations, in addition to other assistance guests may need, including Disney Resort hotel reservations, special offers, general questions and more.”
Does this mean there will be fewer phone agents answering when a guest calls Disney Dining? We’re not sure yet, but we’ll be checking it out and reporting back.
