Roaches and fruit flies found in Walt Disney World Swan Hotel employee kitchen

The Walt Disney World Swan Hotel, which is managed by Starwood Hotels, had an employee cafeteria closed down on Wednesday, October 12th due to live roaches and fruit flies found in the kitchen. A health inspector found six basic and two high-priority violations in the kitchen, which caused it to shut down for the day.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Treva Marshall, a spokeswoman from the hotel said, “We take all matters seriously involving the health and safety of our cast and guests. We were alerted to an issue in our Swan employee cafeteria, caused by an unused piece of equipment, and immediately had it removed.”
