On May 27, 2018, Star Wars: Galactic Nights will return to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The Disney Parks Blog just announced the list of specialty foods that will be available during the special event! Star Wars fans will enjoy the in-depth theming, as every specialty dish has been inspired by the “beloved characters, worlds and stories” from the Star Wars Universe.
Dueling Gazpacho
Celebrating the dark and light sides of the force is the Dueling Gazpacho, which is a spicy red pepper cold soup and a cool cucumber-melon cold soup. The pairing was inspired by Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and Sith Lord Darth Maul’s lightsaber duel.
Three-Cheese Pasta with a Meatball
Loosely themed around the Resistance Movement is the creamy three-cheese sauce pasta dish, which is served with a spicy lamb and beef meatball.
Sweet and Spicy Fried Drumstick
The friendship of Chewbacca and the porgs of Ahch-To have inspired the Sweet and Spicy Fried Drumstick, which pairs a “honey-chili glazed drumstick” with “a pepper jelly biscuit.”
Lemon Diver Scallop with Pork Belly
The oceanic planet of Ahch-To is also the basis of the Lemon Diver Scallop with Pork Belly dish, which can only be found at The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge.
Tofu and Rice Noodles
The other dish exclusive to The Hollywood Brown Derby Lounge is the Tofu and Rice Noodles. This dish may remind guests of “the vibrant and diverse” Coruscant. The dish includes “a medley of pan-seared tofu, leeks, red onions and noodles.”
Soba Noodle Salad
The Ewoks home of Endor has inspired the Soba Noodle Salad, which includes “chili-soy Soba noodles, cucumbers and carrots,” which is “topped with a hard-boiled, chili-glazed deviled egg.”
Plantmeat on Rootcrush
Unkar Plutt’s rations concession stand is the basis of the Plantmeat on Rootcrush dish, which is “vegetarian meatloaf, mashed potatoes, root vegetables and mushroom gravy.” If you don’t remember Unkar Plutt, he’s the one who gives food rations in return for scrap metal and salvaged pieces from the Graveyard of Ships.
Cheese Grits with Steamed Crawfish
Mon Cala inspired the Cheese Grits with Steamed Crawfish, which features “savory steamed crawfish smothered in decadent Louisiana boil broth served on top of sweet corn cheese grits.”
Loaded Red Curry Duck Fries
“Seasoned fries are topped with duck confit, red curry ketchup and white blended cheese sauce” to make a dish based off the Battle of Crait. The blend of red and white in this dish may remind you of the planet’s surface, which is in white salt and red minerals.
Fish and Chips with Smoked Paprika Remoulade
Lah’mu is the home of the Erso family, and is also the inspiration for the Fish and Chips with Smoked Paprika Remoulade dish. The chips are made from root vegetables, which is supposed to remind guests of the “lowlands and black sand beaches” of Lah’mu.
Ancho-Chili Octopus
The Ancho-Chili Octopus dish is inspired by the Sarlacc pit on Tatooine. The dish includes “octopus and jicama, pear and cucumber slaw.”
Lightsaber Churros
Guests can enjoy the fan favorite blue and red lightsaber churros, or even a Lightsaber Churro Sundae, which includes vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, and of course a Lightsaber Churro.
