The Walt Disney Company Donates $5 Million to the Notre-Dame Cathedral Rebuild

On Monday, April 15, the world watched as the Notre-Dame Cathedral was heartbreakingly on fire. Sadly, the fire destroyed much of the roof and the spire that sat atop the cathedral. This was a major historical loss as the cathedral was completed in 1345.

To help with the rebuild of the Notre-Dame Cathedral, The Walt Disney Company will be donating $5 million. CEO Bob Iger tweeted the Notre-Dame Cathedral “is a beacon of faith, hope & beauty, inspiring awe, and reverence. The Walt Disney Company stands with our friends & neighbors in Paris, with heartfelt support and a $5 million donation for the restoration of this masterpiece.”
