About 15,000 Minnie and Mickey Mouse infant hoodie sweatshirts are being recalled for being a choking hazard. The faulty sweatshirts have small snaps that can detach, which are the problem. The infant sweatshirts were sold at Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, and on the Shop Disney Parks app from April 2016 until October 2016. The infant sweatshirt was sold for about $30, and consumers can get a refund of $40 by calling the toll-free number 844-722-1444 from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or by going online to www.disneyparks.com and clicking on “Safety Recall.”
No incidents or injuries have been reported, but the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission has said, “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled infant hoodies and contact Walt Disney Parks and Resorts US, Inc. for instructions on returning them for a full refund.” The infant sweatshirt is a cotton and polyester blend, and came in the sizes 6M, 12M, 18M and 24M.
On the Minnie Mouse infant sweatshirt the UPC codes are (6M) 400000175669, (12M) 400000175676, (18M) 400000175683, and (24M) 400000175690. On the Mickey Mouse infant sweatshirts the UPC codes are (6M) 400000145433, (12M) 400000145440, (18M) 400000145457 and (24M) 400000145464.
