Walt Disney World’s travel protection has officially increased from $95 to $99 per adult (18 and older), effective October 1, 2025. No additional payment is due if you have already booked and paid for Disney World’s trip insurance. Like before, children ages 17 and younger are covered under the trip insurance policy.
Trip insurance can protect you from cancellation penalties if you must cancel your Disney World vacation due to illness or experience additional travel costs due to delays or lost/ damaged luggage. - Expenses due to trip delays, such as flight changes and weather, are reimbursed in a set amount per person.

- Select emergency medical and dental coverage while traveling

- Access to 24/7 assistance for any travel-related issues

Other Helpful Things to Know
- Trip insurance can be added to your Disney World vacation before final payment.
- Full payment for the trip insurance is due when it is added to your reservation.
- Once the trip insurance is added to your reservation, the trip insurance amount is non-refundable.
- A third-party company provides trip insurance: Aon Affinity.

Walt Disney World’s Cancellation Policy at a Glance
- Packages – Cancel without penalty up to 30 days before your check-in date.
- Packages – $200 cancellation fee 3 – 29 days before your check-in date.
- Packages – 2 days or less from your check-in date, your full package amount is non-refundable.
- Room-Only Reservations – Cancel up to 8 days before your check-in date without penalty.
- Room-Only Reservations – 7 days or less from your check-in date, your deposit is non-refundable (equivalent to one night’s stay).
