Walt Disney World to Host the Ripken Baseball Experience in 2020

Former Baltimore Orioles shortstop Cal Ripken Jr. is bringing his youth baseball academy, the Ripken Baseball Experience, to Walt Disney World in 2020.

The ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex will play host to young baseball players (ages 6 to 8) who will compete in high-level youth baseball tournaments.



Players will also experience an exciting opening ceremony, receive player & coach gifts, get Ripken Experience rings, participate in skills competitions, and get a chance to spend some free time in the theme parks.

The Experience is being held over 6 weeks in June and July of next year, though not all age groups will compete each week.

  • June 14-19: 10U, 12U, 13U, 14U
  • June 21-26: 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U
  • June 28-July 3: 10U, 12U, 13U, 15/16U
  • July 5-10: 11U, 12U, 13U, 14U
  • July 12-17: 10U, 12U, 13U, 14U
  • July 19-24: 11U, 12U, 13U, 15/16U
