Today, Disneyland has announced that temperature screenings for guests will end on June 15, 2021. This date coincides with the state of California’s full reopening. The reopening plan for the state includes guidelines that vaccinated people can go mask-free in most settings, including indoors. It also limits social distancing, capacity limits, and travel restrictions.
Disney has always followed their own playbook when it comes to operations. This was seen when Walt Disney World in Florida has been reopening at a slower pace than the rest of Florida. However, the ending of temperature screenings may be a promising sign for out-of-state visitors who are currently still unable to visit Disneyland.
Time will only tell, but at the rate Disneyland is reopening its hotels and attractions, it’s definitely looking good for those of us stuck in other states and missing the Happiest Place on Earth.
