This week, White Water Snacks at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa at the Disneyland Resort began testing several new artisan pizzas created personally by Disneyland Executive Chef Andrew Sutton.
According to Sutton, the new pizzas are $10 cheaper than those at Naples Ristorante e Pizzeria and contain higher quality ingredients.
The 14-inch pizzas available include:
Baby artichoke, roasted tomato, arugula and grana padana parmigiano [$24]
Classic Pepperoni, made with Southern California “Olli” pepperoni, fresh tomato sauce and three cheese [$23]
Lemon shrimp, caper, fire roasted tomato and parmigiano [$25]
“N’duja” Italian prosciutto sausage, baby portobello mushrooms, artichokes, roasted tomato with grana padana parmigiano [$25]
Margarita fire roasted tomatoes, fresh mozzarella and fresh basil [$23]
White Water Snacks began serving the pizzas Wednesday, and very soon they will be added to the poolside menu at the hotel. They may eventually make their way to the Hearthstone Lounge.
Chef Sutton said that he’s been working on the pizzas for over six months, trying to find the best ingredients from California and Italy.
He added that his favorite is the “N’duja” sausage pizza.
