Disney Animation has officially confirmed that Zootopia 3 is in the works. During the Entertainment Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event 2026, Disney Animation chief Jared Bush joined Zootopia stars Ginnifer Goodwin and Ke Huy Quan to announce that both of their characters will return for the third film.
Bush teased that there is plenty more of the world to explore, saying, “We’ve actually only seen one city on one continent on one planet. There’s quite a lot more stories to tell.” While Disney did not announce an official release date, the confirmation means Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde and the world of Zootopia will officially return for another big-screen adventure.
