News from the D23 Entertainment Showcase, we have release dates for both The Bluey Movie and the live-action Tangled!
Just two years ago at the last D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we received the exciting news Bluey would get her own feature film plus would be introduced in Disney Parks and Disney Cruise Line. Now, we’re getting our first look at The Bluey Movie AND we now have a release date, August 6, 2027! The animation style of the movie is noticeably different from the show. Much to fans’ delight, the teaser trailer shows the girls playing “keepy-uppy” and the audience at D23 even got to participate in the game “for real life”.
There’s so much excitement around the casting for the live-action Tangled which stars Teagan Croft as Rapunzel, Milo Manheim as Flynn Ryder, and Kathryn Hahn as Mother Gothel. D23 attendees were treated to an appearance by the stars plus a first look at the film which is currently in production. We also now know the live-action Tangled will release in theaters on March 31, 2028.
