Have you always wanted to live at
Walt Disney World? Beginning next year, a lucky few will be able to do just that. Disney announced plans for a new gated community of luxury single-family homes, just outside the
Magic Kingdom. The plans for the
Golden Oak area show a 960-acre development where 450 homes will sell for $1.5 million and $8 million. The neighborhoods will include parks, walking paths, and a clubhouse. The first phase of the development will open in 2011 with 30 houses, as a sort of test phase. There are no definite plans yet for when the second phase of the development will open. Lots for the first houses are available now, with a $25,000 deposit required to get on the reservation list.
Among the plans for the development is a 445-room Four Seasons hotel, which will include an 18-hole golf course, restaurants, full-service spa and meeting facilities.
A few of the perks with Golden Oak home ownership are private VIP transportation and access to a suite of in-park benefits, including special-event tickets and community-hosted activities. Golden Oak offers concierge services to their guests and will assist with such things as move-in services, theme park tickets, golf tee-times, dinner reservations, VIP tours, party planning, holiday home decorating, and setting up home maintenance.
The designs for the community were created by Walt Disney Imagineering and Golden Oak Realty, a Disney company, will sell the lots and the homes.
