Meg Crofton, president of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts' U.S. and France, has announced her upcoming retirement, effective June 1, 2015. Crofton has worked for Disney for 35 years, with roles in personnel, operations and sales, before becoming president of Walt Disney World in 2006. In 2011, she transitioned to her current role. Her replacement has not yet been announced.

In a statement, she said, "I wanted to leave while I still had plenty of juice left for the next chapter in my life."

Chairman of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, Tom Staggs, said, "There are few people within (the division) who have inspired as many people and made as significant an impact as Meg has. She has devoted her career to nurturing countless cast members, encouraging them to achieve new heights, coaching them to succeed and helping them down the path, no matter where they wanted it to take them. She has amassed innumerable achievements over the years, literally spanning the globe."
