The AMC Theatres in Downtown Disney at Disneyland are trying to make sure autistic children aren't left out of the theater-going experience. Through October, they will be hosting special screenings for children who are sensitive to their surroundings. The lights will be left on and the sound will be turned down. According to the Orange County Register, guests will be allowed to get up, dance and walk around during the "sensory-friendly films."

These special screenings are at 10 am on Saturdays. The schedule for these films is:

April 10: How to Train Your Dragon

May 22: Shrek 4

June 26: Toy Story 3

July 17: Despicable Me

August 7: Cats & Dogs 2

September 25: Guardians of Ga'Hoole

October 9: The Zookeeper
