Every Disney fan knows that there are no shortage of gift shops at
Walt Disney World. However, one of the more unique gift shop locations will be closing on July 10. The Firehouse Gift Station at the
Magic Kingdom is often overlooked, which may be the reason for its impending closure. This shop is located in the Firehouse on
Main Street, U.S.A. and offers unique items, such as personalized fire chief badges and firefighter bobble heads. Disney says most of the merchandise will still be available at the Emporium.
The exterior of the Firehouse will remain the same, but the future for the interior has yet to be decided. Some of the popular features there now include a penny press and engraving machines, both of which will be staying. A special touch in the Firehouse is the display of patches from guests' local firehouses. When the gift shop closes, guests may bring patches to City Hall, and eventually they will once again be accepted at the Firehouse.
