Kilimanjaro Safari closed after fire

A fire that started in the engine of a Kilimanjaro ride vehicle led to four injuries during the evacuation. While most were minor, one guest was taken to the hospital after injuring her knee when jumping off the truck.

It is believed that the blaze was due to a faulty engine hose. By the time that fire apparatus arrived, the fire was mostly out.

Kilimanjaro is closed until inspectors check all of the vehicles. The attraction is expected to reopen today.
