"Storytime with Belle," a character meet and greet opportunity in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World will hold its final performance on September 12th to make way for a new "play and greet" interactive experience. The new residents of the Fairytale Garden will be Flynn Ryder and Rapunzel from the upcoming Disney animated film "Tangled." Beginning on October 15th, guests will be able to interact with both characters from the film that retells the classic story of Rapunzel. The movie, featuring the voices of Zachary Levi (NBC's "Chuck") and singer Mandy Moore, is being developed using both computer animation and Disney 3D technology. Even though it is a different way to tell a classic story, there are some Disney "heavyweights" behind it: legendary composer Alan Menken and animator Glen Keane, both of whom worked on "Aladdin," "Beauty and the Beast," and "The Little Mermaid."

Update 8/13/10: Disney announced today that the characters from Tangled would also be appearing at Disneyland. Beginning October 15, Rapunzel and Flynn will greet guests in Fantasyland at the location that is currently Gepetto's Sweet Shoppe.
