Universal Orlando has again followed Disney's lead and raised their one day ticket price to $75, a $4 increase. Additionally, select multi-day Universal tickets have also gone up while other offers remain the same. Universal has kept pace with Disney since 2004.

Michael Lewellen, Universal vice president for public relations, stated "It's sound business strategy to keep prices on par with market levels. We believe our pricing reflects the world-class experience we offer."

Universal claims the new pricing is needed in response to the opening of the Simpsons Ride and the upcoming addition of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter and the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit roller coaster.

Unlike the the other major Orlando theme parks, SeaWorld has kept their one day ticket price at $69.95.
