Itinerary changes for Disney Cruise Line sailings out of Galveston

Disney Cruise Line's 2013 eight-night Western Caribbean cruises out of Galveston have been changed to a Bahamas itinerary. The six- and seven-night cruises will remain as originally planned, but the eight-night Western Caribbean itineraries are being switched to four-night and eight-night Bahamas itineraries. These itineraries are being changed to offer a combination of shorter and longer sailing options in 2013. The ports of Cozumel, Key West, Castaway Cay and Port Canaveral will be stops on these cruises and the Port Canaveral stop will include transportation and one-day park hopper passes for the Walt Disney World Resort.
For guests who were already booked on these eight-night sailings, Disney is willing to help them out. If air has already been purchased, guests should contact their travel agents or Disney Cruise Line for instructions on how to proceed. If the guests move their booking to a different sail date, the original booking date is used to determine the price of the new cruise.
If guests on the original eight-night cruise were switched to two of the 4-night cruises, Disney is offering monetary compensation. The amount is determined by the category of stateroom the guest had reserved. Options for these guests include keeping a four-night cruise, doing two four-nights back to back or moving to any other itinerary. Guests who were on the original eight-night cruises that switched to an eight-night Bahamas itinerary will not receive any monetary compensation, because itineraries are always subject to change. However, if a guest wants to cancel, the original booking date will be honored for pricing on a new cruise date.
These itinerary changes only affect cruises sailing from the Port of Galveston.
