Mailed Confirmations from Disney’s Magical Express to Cease July 1st

As of July 1, 2021, Disney’s Magical Express will no longer mail reservation confirmation collateral to guests’ homes. As a reminder, Disney’s Magical Express will no longer be available with arrivals beginning January 1, 2022. Guests arriving at Orlando International Airport (MCO) will need to utilize a MagicBand or Disney MagicMobile to check in at Mailed Confirmations from Disney’s Magical Express to Cease July 1st

On a recent bonus trip to Walt Disney World, I tested out accessible Mears cab transportation and experienced a failure rate of 50%. One of two trips worked and I came close to missing my flight home. Mears Transportation Has Laid Off More Employees, Including Some at Disney’s Magical Express

According to paperwork filed with the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, Mears Transportation Group in Orlando laid off an additional 104 employees in July. In June, the company laid off 72 employees at its corporate offices. Prior to the pandemic, the company had 950 employees. The company furloughed most of its workers in April, but Mears Transportation Has Laid Off More Employees, Including Some at Disney’s Magical Express



Disney’s Magical Express Will No Longer Provide Luggage Delivery Service Beginning July 16

Complimentary airport transportation via Disney’s Magical Express service for guests arriving and departing from Orlando International Airport (MCO) is continuing to operate during this period, with some modifications. Beginning July 16, 2020, luggage delivery service will no longer be provided for guests arriving to and departing from Orlando International Airport. Guests who choose to use Disney’s Magical Express Will No Longer Provide Luggage Delivery Service Beginning July 16
