Rivers of America & More Already Removed from Magic Kingdom Map

Yesterday was the final day for some classic Magic Kingdom staples, including Rivers of America, the Liberty Square Riverboat, and Tom Sawyer Island. And just like that, Disney already updated Magic Kingdom’s map reflecting the big changes. These closures pave the way (quite literally) for the new Cars-themed area coming to Frontierland, Piston Peak, as Rivers of America & More Already Removed from Magic Kingdom Map

Closing Date Announced for Rivers of America & Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom

Walt Disney World announced that Piston Peak National Park will be the new backdrop for the Cars-themed area coming to Magic Kingdom. Disney says, “The big rally race will fit into the waters, landscapes, and storytelling.” On July 7, the Rivers of America, Tom Sawyer Island, and the Liberty Square Riverboat will permanently close as Closing Date Announced for Rivers of America & Tom Sawyer Island at Magic Kingdom
