A Peek at the New Food & Wine Festival Figment Merch

The EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is a personal favorite of mine. My favorite theme park plus special food? What’s not to love? And, in my opinion, the cherry on top of the Food and Wine sundae is always the branded merchandise that’s released in conjunction with each year’s festival.

This year’s festival merchandise released yesterday, and I thought it’d be fun to take a look at some of this year’s offerings that feature that lovable purple dragon, Figment.

Over the years, Figment has played a progressively increasing role in EPCOT festival merchandise. If you’re a Figment fan and you’ll be in EPCOT soon, head straight to ImageWorks in the Imagination pavilion. All things Figment are found there, and, for Food and Wine, we’ve been given a one-stop shop for Chef Figment-branded festival merch.

As is usually the case, there are a couple of different festival t-shirts, and a blue one ($29.99) shows Chef Figment playfully popping out of the front pocket.

In my opinion, one of the most striking and unique merch pieces is the turquoise-colored ceramic trivet ($14.99). The cork back features a kitchen conversion chart. I don’t know about you, but I am constantly heading to the internet for measurement conversions. And the Chef Figment graphic on the front is so bright, colorful and fun. You’ll be seeing Chef Figment with that rainbow-colored pot of food throughout this year’s merchandise items.

For the Walt Disney World trash can fans out there, the Disney merchandise team has made something you’ll love. While it’s not a replication of an actual trash can like some of the other salt and pepper shakers we’ve seen, it’s still fun. The Chef Figment salt/pepper shaker sells for $12.99. As is the case with the Food and Wine merch, the trash can shaker is branded with this year’s 25th anniversary logo. The wording on the logo doesn’t make reference to the “Taste of Food and Wine…”; everything points to the full festival as I’m sure the merchandise was designed and produced well before COVID ever became a thing. Personally, I liked that the merch honors the original festival.

The Chef Figment plate ($14.99) and mug ($19.99) feature our purple friend with that pot filled with a colorful concoction. The plate and mug are hefty and solid, and the plate is both dishwasher and microwave safe.

What would a festival be without a Tervis? There are a couple of Tervis’ for this year’s Food and Wine Festival, and Chef Figment makes his way onto one of them ($21.99). This year’s designs are just so playful and colorful.

The Disney merch team has those of you in the market for a new outfit covered. A new v-neck pullover features small food icons on the back. The matching leggings feature those same food icons, and both pieces have the same knit rainbow stripe. The rainbows emblazoned on all of Chef Figment’s merch reminds me of the rainbow tunnel that used to be located in ImageWorks. Ahhh rainbow tunnel, how we miss ye.

If you’re making your way around the World Showcase, Chef Figment Food and Wine ornaments ($22.99) can be found at the festival merchandise kiosk across from the Canada pavilion.

The ever in demand Figment Shoulder Plush ($19.99) can be found at this merchandise kiosk as well. These little guys are currently sold out on shopDisney, but there were plenty available at the kiosk yesterday. I’m hoping that they remain in stock for the foreseeable future.
