Mickey’s Not-So-Scary PARTY EXCLUSIVE FOOD at Cosmic Ray’s

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café located in the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland and offers quick-service burgers, chicken fingers, and sandwiches. However, during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, it’s home to the Disney Jr. Jam dance party and five party-exclusive menu items.

We decided to try all five party exclusives, many of which are new for this year! All of these items can be Mobile Ordered through the My Disney Experience app during party hours.

Terrifyin’ Twice-spiced Chicken Sandwichspicy fried chicken breast dipped in hot honey and topped with pepper jack cheese, jalapeño poppers, and bacon; served with fries for $13.29.

This was our favorite of the sandwiches – the hot honey brought a nice kick and sweetness that paired well with the bacon. We especially loved the jalapeño poppers and wish we could have ordered them as a stand-alone side! The chicken breast was also a large portion, making it feel like one of the better deals of the night.

Sinister Satay Burgercocoa-rubbed all-beef patty with bacon, lime pickles, and Thai peanut sauce, served with fries for $13.79.

This burger was our second favorite and really surprised us! The cocoa rub with the Thai peanut sauce brought a depth of flavor while not overpowering everything else. We also thought the lime pickles were a great addition and actually tasted like lime! Even the patty felt elevated compared to some of the other dry quick-service burgers we’ve had in the past.

Halloween Pot Roast Sandwichtopped with cheddar and horseradish mayonnaise, served on a black bun for $12.99.

Last and definitely least, the pot roast sandwich disappointed us in every way possible. In fact, some of our group decided to skip trying it based on the look of the pot roast alone. The meat was mostly fat and very hard to eat. We also didn’t get hardly any flavor from either the beef or the horseradish mayo. The description on this sandwich may have sounded good but in reality, it was beyond bad.

Witches Fingerspurple cookie fingers with sour apple mousse and green apple boba pearls for $6.49 or one Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit.

Time for fun desserts! This one was very bright and almost looked inedible based on the colors. Our group had mixed feelings on this treat and ultimately landed on not needing to order it again. The green apple mouse was sweet and creamy and the witch cookies tasted somewhat like shortbread. However, it definitely tasted like food coloring which gave it a somewhat artificial taste.

Ube Green Tea Slushytopped with cherry whipped cream, cinnamon candies, and a white chocolate tombstone for $6.49 or one Disney Dining Plan Snack Credit.

This slushy really let us down, the ube flavor was completely missing and the combination of the green tea, cherry whipped cream, and cinnamon candies was just weird. After one sip, we decided this treat was a hard pass and you’re better off eating your candy from trick-or-treating.

If you’re visiting Cosmic Ray’s during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary, we would recommend the Terrifyin’ Twice-Spiced Chicken Sandwich and the Sinister Satay Burger. It also offers one of the few indoor quick-service options open during the party. Watch our full review of these specialty menu items and learn a little bit our rained out party night HERE!
