Imagine using Lightning Lane for a Dole Whip over at Aloha Isle. This is no dream; this is Mobile Order, and you’d be surprised how many people aren’t using it.
What is Mobile Order? Mobile order makes dining a quick and seamless experience. From the convenience of your smartphone, you can preorder and customize your snack and meal order and have it ready with little or no wait upon your arrival, which translates into less time waiting in food lines and more time to spend in attraction lines.
Disney’s Mobile Order is Like a FastPass for your food!
How Does Mobile Ordering Work? Simply go to your My Disney Experience app and look for the Mobile Order link. You will be presented with a list of kiosks and quick-service dining options that participate in Mobile Order. Choose where you want to eat, customize your order, set up the method of payment (this is whatever method of payment you have linked to your My Disney Experience app) and simply click the “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” link when you’re ready to chow down. Then simply bypass the lines and walk up to the Mobile Order Pickup window, and chow down.
Where Can I Use Mobile Order? The majority of kiosks and quick-service locations at Walt Disney World accept mobile ordering, there are even some table-service locations available to use Mobile Order. Whether you are in the park, at a resort, or even at Disney Springs, the convenience of a quick meal is just a click away. Personally, I’ve found the mobile ordering option the most efficient at locations where the typical wait time is long, my favorites being Aloha Isle in the Magic Kingdom (get your Dole Whip almost instantly!) and Woody’s Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios‘ Toy Story Land.
Why Should You Use Mobile Ordering on Your Next Disney Vacation? Because it’s a huge timesaver! Not only is mobile ordering easy, but it also allows for complete customization (including allergy accommodations), has your food ready when you are, and allows you to feel like a VIP when you head straight to the front of the line. It gives you more of what you really want on a Disney vacation: more time to spend on the fun stuff.
We used mobile ordering a lot during our most recent Disney trip, and it honestly cut back substantially on the time we spent waiting in lines. If you plan on visiting when there are high crowd levels (which is always), or during times when the weather is not really optimal for standing outside (hello summer heat and afternoon rainstorms), or during the lunch/dinner rush, I’d highly recommend giving it a try.
