Hey, Disney friends! Over the last few weeks, we’ve already started seeing patriotic touches arrive across the Disney Parks, from themed décor to limited-time snacks, with even more expected throughout the second half of 2026. Earlier this month, you might remember Jackie sharing the exciting news that the beloved Soarin’ attraction in Disney California Adventure Park and EPCOT would be getting a special refresh in celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
There’s a reason this attraction has remained such a fan favorite over the years. Whether you love the original Soarin’ Over California or prefer Soarin’ Around the World, there’s something special about that moment when your feet lift off the ground, and you glide over iconic landscapes with the wind in your face and those familiar scents in the air. Fans always get excited when Soarin’ Over California temporarily returns, especially for that unforgettable orange grove scene, but Soarin’ Around the World has certainly earned its place in many Disney hearts as well.
This summer, guests will get to experience the brand-new Soarin’ Around America, debuting at EPCOT on May 26th, 2026, before arriving at the Disneyland Resort on July 2nd, 2026. Along with updated screens and a fresh new theme designed especially for the anniversary celebration, Disney also revealed a fun snack tie-in arriving at Sunshine Seasons on May 26th. Meet the S’morin’ Across America Milk Shake, featuring a s’mores milkshake topped with toasted marshmallow, chocolate bar pieces, graham cracker crumbs, and even a tiny Soarin’ hang glider decoration. Honestly, this one looks absolutely adorable.
Seeing this themed shake immediately made me wonder why we don’t have more attraction-inspired snacks and drinks around the parks at all times. We’ve seen an explosion of seasonal treats and celebration menus in recent years, but surprisingly few options outside of Avengers Campus that connect directly to the attractions we love most. There are so many fun possibilities. Imagine oversized sugar cookies shaped like the façade of ‘it’s a small world,’ or a Jungle Cruise-inspired tropical drink with a little hippopotamus decoration splashing out of the top. Disney storytelling works so well in food form, and it would be so much fun to see even more creativity brought into the dining locations surrounding these iconic rides.
