With so many sweet treats available during the 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, it can be hard to choose which to get! Especially since your admission includes complimentary cookies throughout the park.
There are two ice cream items available The Plaza Ice Cream Parlor exclusively for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. We decided to check out one of these treats but are tempted to come back to try the other seasonal items.
The two party-exclusive menu items include –
Gingerbread Milk Shake – vanilla ice cream, gingerbread syrup, and ginger snap crumbles topped with whipped cream and a chocolate gingerbread man for $8.99.
Peppermint Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich – peppermint ice cream sandwiched between two oatmeal-peppermint cookies and rolled in candy pieces for $7.49.
During regular Magic Kingdom park hours, you can also get peppermint ice cream and the Peppermint Brownie Sundae.
Peppermint Brownie Sundae – house-baked brownie topped with peppermint ice cream, hot fudge, and chocolate granola with candy cane pieces for $9.29.
While in line, I noticed most people were ordering the Gingerbread Milkshake, and I immediately felt left out. I instead ordered the Peppermint Ice Cream Sandwich since I look forward to enjoying peppermint ice cream on Main Street every holiday season.
The ice cream sandwich came out looking delicious and just like the promotional photo. Unfortunately, my first attempted bite is where things turned disappointing. The cookie was so hard and dry that it made it nearly impossible to eat, even when trying to cut it with a knife. It wasn’t until much later when the cookie had soaked up melted ice cream that it became edible. Otherwise, the ice cream sandwich would have been great. The peppermint ice cream is both sweet and minty and the chocolate from the cookie would have been perfect with it.

After seeing everyone order the Gingerbread Shake, that’s likely what I would try next time! Otherwise, I look forward to my peppermint ice cream cone next time I’m at the Magic Kingdom during the day.
