The DIS Unlimited team recently had a stay in the All-Star Music Family Suites and popped in for lunch at the Intermission Food Court. This is the only dining location at the resort and is located in the main lobby with plenty of seating and plenty of menu options!

Like other Disney Value Resorts, you can hop in line for different options like burgers and chicken, sandwiches, pizza and pasta, bakery items, ice cream, etc. There is also a separate walk-up window for Mobile Orders and pizza take-out.

The food court has been renovated to include warm colors and art from the new Mickey Mouse shorts… which you can watch anytime on your Disney Resort TV! There is a very large island for beverages, including soda, tea, and coffee, making it easy to grab your refillable mug on the way to the bus stop in the morning! In the same area, there is also lounge seating with access to the Singing Spirits pool bar, so you can order both inside and poolside.

Now it’s time for what we ate!

Ryno went with the Mojo-roasted Chicken for $14.79 and served with two sides. This is served as a half-rotisserie chicken with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, Ryno said this was one of the worst pieces of chicken he’s had and was both slimy and overcooked… yuck. The flavor of the mojo was also a little off. Thankfully, the mashed potatoes were great! Hopefully this was just an off day for the chicken because otherwise, the serving size and the ability to get a “real meal” at a food court would be very appealing!

I chose the signature Blues Burger topped with caramelized onions, bacon, blue cheese, and garlic aioli for $13.79. I was pleasantly surprised by this one! Despite the patty being a typical Disney burger, the addition of the toppings was fantastic. The blue cheese was not over-powering, and the bacon was crispy. I would absolutely order this again!

Craig selected the Grilled Chicken Parmesan with Pasta for $13.29 and served with a breadstick. You can select either marinara or alfredo sauce but Craig went with both! The grilled chicken was cooked well and had a great flavor and the alfredo sauce was decent for a quick service restaurant. The marinara was definitely a miss so we recommend sticking with the alfredo sauce!

We decided to chose two bakery items both costing $4.29 or one Disney Dining Plan snack credit. Pictured above, the Banana Bread with Streusel Topping is served as a small loaf and unfortunately was dry and needed more banana to keep the flavor and moisture. If you’ve had the chocolate chip banana bread at Disney’s Riviera Resort, this one will make you sad.

Pictured below, we sampled the Coffee Cake which was a large square and while also a little dry, the cinnamon and coffee flavor was great. This would be a good one to grab in the morning for an on-the-go breakfast.

Time for actual dessert and the winner of our entire lunch review – the seasonal Lemon-Blueberry Cheesecake! For $6.29, this cheesecake was both light and creamy and the fresh blueberries and pop of lemon was fantastic. Plus how cute is the Mickey shortbread topper?? If you’re staying at All-Star Music, this dessert is an absolute must!

For dessert, you can also get hand-scooped ice cream and sundaes like this very cute Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae! There is also fresh popcorn (not so fresh when we were there) and I love the idea of getting a popcorn bucket refill during your afternoon pool break!

Overall, the Intermission Food Court is a perfect option if you’re staying at the resort and need a quick breakfast or a pizza by the pool. While it may not be a stand-out restaurant, there are enough options and hidden gems to keep your family happy!

Ironically, this was Craig’s last Disney dining review with the DIS Unlimited. Talk about going out in style! We will miss you Craig and know you’re off to great things… and hopefully plenty of Disney dining!
