Trying New Muppety Snacks from FØØD by Swedish Chef

With the opening of FØØD by Swedish Chef alongside Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, I tried some of the new Muppet-themed menu items from the food kiosk. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on those Wocka Working Nachos…

The new kiosk is located just outside Rock Around the Shop, or the exit for the coaster, within the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster courtyard. (This replaces the KRNR Snack Station which served snacks and beverages before.)

Here’s the full menu available at FØØD by Swedish Chef. I especially love the small disclaimer from Kermit at the bottom…

“Per Kermit the Frog, for everyone’s health and safety, Swedish Chef is not permitted to prepare food at FØØD.”

Here’s what I ordered… and what I thought!

Pink Le-moi-nade | $6.49

Minute Maid Premium Lemonade and guava made glamorous with a sprinkle of pink shimmer

This is a pretty sweet drink. The shimmering pink lemonade is cute and is definitely photogenic, especially at night with your flash on. But we wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for something to quench your thirst.

The guava stands out – it’s good, but not “OMG you must get this ASAP” good. It is a solid, unique lemonade option to enjoy and cool off, and kids will probably love it.

A small aside: I do wish the drinks served here were in a branded cup of sorts, perhaps a logo for the new coaster, FØØD by Swedish Chef, or maybe even an image of Miss Piggy for this one and Kermit for the Pond Water option. It would add just the right amount of theming, and it can’t cost that much to set up. Other Disney Parks around the world do it!

I’m rating this 3 out of 5 HI-YAHS!

Wocka Wocking Nachos | $7.49

Corn chips with queso blanco, tomatoes, and guacamole

There’s nothing too special about this, but the fact that a walking nachos — or taco — has a more permanent place versus a special event is exciting. There’s no meat, so it’s vegetarian-friendly and makes for a nice chip-based snack during your queue wait, or while you’re waiting for your thrill-seeker party to return to the courtyard.

The queso is great and cheesy, the guacamole is bright and creamy, and the chopped tomatoes were fresh. If you like Fritos, you’ll want to wocka wock this way…

Rating this a 4 out of 5 flying tomatoes.

Churro Drumstick | $7.99

Twisted churro tossed in mixed berry sugar, topped with raspberry sauce and assorted sprinkles, served with chocolate sauce

I could go on and on about how Disneyland’s churros are infinitely better than those on the East Coast, but I can honestly say this is probably the best churro you’ll find at Walt Disney World. There’s no cinnamon here, but it’s perfectly crunchy, served warm, and NOT soggy whatsoever. What if… they could make these be the new cinnamon sugar churros? Please?

The raspberry drizzle on top has a pretty strong sweetened raspberry flavor — I tended to prefer the taste of the mixed berry sugar with the chocolate sauce alone. You may want to request no raspberry sauce on this one. Otherwise, it’s a cute AND tasty churro snack! And you need two to represent both of Animal’s drums, right?

Rating this a 3 (with room to improve) out of 5 DRUMS DRUMS DRUMS.

If you didn’t eat off of a Disney trash can, did you even go to Disney World?
