Like most Disney fans, I love Magic Kingdom’s Confectionery. I love its location on Main Street, brightly decorated windows, the perfect smell wafting out of every door, and of course all of the delicious treats. In fact, I really have not met a Confectionery treat I did not like. However, it’s Big Top Souvenirs that really should be at the top of your list in the Magic Kingdom.
Big Top Souvenirs is located in, you guessed it, Storybook Circus, and is equal parts gift shop and confectionery. You’ve probably at least walked through Big Top Souvenirs as it is also the exit for meeting Goofy, Donald, Daisy, and Minnie in the Magic Kingdom.
There are several reasons to love this sweet treat destination –
Werther’s Caramel Treats
Do you love Karamell-Kuche in EPCOT? You’re in luck because some of the same caramel treats are available at the confectionery counter in Big Top Souvenirs. This includes the caramel popcorn and the caramel butter bar. Both of which are equally amazing and should absolutely be on your must have Disney snack list. Trust me on this.
Larger/ Less Busy Location
Just look at the picture below- hardly anyone to be seen and this was taken on a Saturday around lunchtime. While maybe not always this quiet, there are two lines for purchasing treats with the same wide-array of options and plenty of space to better absorb crowds.
Bonus point – Big Top Souvenirs is a great gift shop! Nothing says a Disney vacation like snacking and shopping. I have often found sold-out items here and they seem to always have limited edition or seasonal merchandise. Right now this includes the Disney Decades Collection and holiday merchandise.
Outdoor Seating
I’ve eaten many a Disney snack on top of a trash can or while walking so being able to easily find a spot to sit and enjoy is the literal icing on the cake! To the right of the Big Top and in front of the Pete’s Silly Sideshow meet and greet location, there are several tables and chairs usually always available. This is also the perfect meeting spot if you have little ones wanting to play in the Storybook Circus splash pad area.
I still love you Main Street Confectionery but perhaps I love Big Top more! Which location is your favorite? Let us know in the comments!
