EPCOT is really beginning to bloom as Disney’s horticulture teams prepare the park for the next big fest: Flower and Garden! The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival kicks off March 5th and continues through June 2nd, but we’re already seeing some topiaries crop up in the park! Let’s take a gander at some of the blossoming familiar faces.
Bambi & Friends
We spotted sweet little Bambi, Thumper, and Flower near the World Showcase Promenade, heading into the Canada pavilion.
Seeing these three amongst floral and fauna reminds me of my favorite quote from the young, wise Thumper: Eating greens is a special treat. It makes long ears and great big feet. But it sure is awful stuff to eat… I made that last part up myself.
Goofy
Our favorite leafy goof can be seen playing amongst dandelions and other blooms near the Rose Walk in World Nature.
This is cute as always, but I’m still holding out for A Goofy Movie inspired topiary setup, complete with Max in his Powerline outfit. Maybe someday…
Troll
You are not the first to pass this way… nor shall you be the last. The classic Norwegian Troll has returned to the Norway pavilion! He’s sporting some twinkling eyes and rosy cheeks this year, giving him a warmer face versus the somewhat-scary look from before.
More To Come!
Take a look at the other new and returning topiaries from Disney’s official lineup here, with more to be announced on February 27th!
The sprawling flower beds lining the waterways of World Discovery and World Nature are starting to fill in with colorful blooms. We can’t wait for spring at EPCOT!
