When you think about the Disney Parks, you might have particular rides come to mind, landmark attractions, iconic snacks, and an abundance of mouse-ear-shaped accessories. However, there is another side of Disney where world-class stage shows offer another level of entertainment. Move over Broadway, the Walt Disney World Resort has action stunt shows, stunning musicals, interactive performances, and so much more; in fact, it’s hard to find the time to enjoy them all in one visit.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios has recently welcomed not one, but two new major stage shows, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure. While both offer respite from the heat and tropical conditions of Orlando in summer, and fantastic, enjoyable performances, I’ve started to wonder if this park is perhaps becoming a little stage-show heavy. With the closing of Muppet*Vision 3D, here are five live shows on offer:
Beauty and the Beast – Live on Stage
The heartwarming tale of Belle and the Beast swirls to life in this lush stage performance. With colorful costumes, gorgeous scenery and the songs you’ve come to love, this sumptuous show will sweep you away—all over again!

Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After – Now Open
Enter the realm of the Magic Mirror—where dozens of villains are trapped! They want the Mirror to reveal the truth: which villain has been treated the most unfairly of them all?
Watch as Cruella de Vil, Captain Hook and Maleficent present their cases on stage, persuading with wicked wisdom and wisecracks. Will you be swayed by their hijinks and humor?
For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration
Drift over to your seat in the theater and listen spellbound as the Royal Historians of Arendelle recount the frosty story of their enchanted kingdom. Watch as thrilling moments from the movie play on-screen, then cheer as Anna, Elsa and Kristoff appear to sing along with the audience! Projected lyrics make it easy to belt out irresistible show-stoppers like Let It Go.
Indiana Jones™ Epic Stunt Spectacular!
Watch live as the daring duo dodges deadly traps, battles bad guys, leaps from tall buildings and makes thrilling escapes straight out of Raiders of the Lost Ark. The edge-of-your-seat suspense ends with a dynamite finale!
Along the way, get an inside look at how stunts are done with demonstrations that reveal how to safely throw and take punches, fall from tall buildings, and even wield whips in the midst of complex action sequences.

The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure – Now Open
Watch as Ariel follows her dreams to be part of the human world. This little mermaid’s adventure is brimming with familiar moments—like encounters with King Triton and Ursula—and stirring scenes.
Throughout Ariel’s journey, get swept away by moving musical numbers like Part of Your World, Under the Sea, Poor Unfortunate Souls, Kiss the Girl and more!
Allowing for the queue and the showtime, it’s getting harder and harder to decide which show to see (I usually limit shows to one) and which ones to miss. I can’t seem to find any more available time away from the other attractions to enjoy a second show in the day. This week’s Disney Debate is asking: Is Disney’s Hollywood Studios too show-heavy compared to the other parks that have between one and three shows each?
Let us know what is at the top and bottom of your show list in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
