Disney Springs always has new food items to try and new items to shop and we’ve seen some welcomed additions this month! If you have a trip planned to Walt Disney World this fall, here are some of the new items you can be excited for at Disney Springs.
1. Seasonal Menus
With only two weeks left of the Halloween season, there’s still plenty of seasonal treats to enjoy! Salt & Straw has its October ice cream flavors available including The Great Candycopia filled with candy favorites and the Creep Crawly Critters for those brave enough to try meal worms in your ice cream.
In addition to a new menu, Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar is also offering limited-time Halloween-themed drinks (now through October 31st), including the Creepy Mudslide, Spiced Pear Potion, and Pumpkin Patch Old Fashioned.
On a recent visit, I tried the Pumpkin Patch Old Fashion made with Maker’s Mark Kentucky Straight Bourbon, simple and vanilla syrups, pumpkin spice, Angostura Bitters served with an ice sphere for $16. This was a well-made old fashioned with subtle flavors from the pumpkin spice – actual spice is added instead of a syrup. I would recommend this cocktail if you like bourbon and are looking for a less-sugary fall beverage.
Check out the entire list of Halloween food items at Disney Springs here. Plus, we’re looking forward to new holiday treats coming in November!
2. The Candy Cauldron Has Officially Re-Opened
After a brief refurbishment, the Candy Cauldron confectionary shop on the West Side re-opened with new menu items but minimal changes to the décor. Exciting new additions include four flavors of Frozen Glaciers with the option to add one of five different liquors for an alcoholic version. The Cherry “Poison” Apple has returned along with a caramel version and Halloween-themed treats.
I was also very excited to see that plain caramel and candied apples have returned after a long hiatus from Disney Parks. Even better, these apples are half the price of the decorated ones!
3. Disney FANTASIA x Pleasing by Harry Styles Pop-Up Experience Now Open
Pleasing by Harry Styles has a new line inspired by the 1940 animated classic, Disney FANTASIA. The 30-piece collection includes sweatshirts, tote bags, and nail polish and ranges in price from $25 to $225. Some of which you can shop online on the Disney Store site.
The best part is this pop-up location is truly an experience with fun photo ops, a screening room playing Fantasia, and creative displays. You can find this limited-time shop on the West Side of Disney Springs in the former location of the NBA Experience.
4. World of Disney Re-Organized… Again
World of Disney has once again re-organized its store layout moving plushes to one of the main feature areas and putting the kids’ clothing section towards the back of the store where the plushes use to be. The new “Snuggle Tours” double-decker bus prop is very cute but ultimately does not feature any new merchandise. I’m wondering if this display will remain through the holidays and the influx of so much new merchandise.
4. Holiday Merchandise is Beginning to Appear
The holiday season at Disney World officially kicks off on November 8th with the first Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. However, the merch is starting to roll into the stores at Disney Springs.
At World of Disney, I spotted holiday Crocs, Loungefly Backpacks, the sherpa snowman headbands, Spirit Jerseys, and matching character t-shirts for the whole family.
While not a Disney-owned store, Sugarboo & Co located in the Disney Springs Town Center, has their full holiday-display up with tons of gift items. You can use your Disney discounts at this store and it is a great place to purchase specialty ornaments, décor, serving pieces, and Jellycat plushes.
We’re looking forward to even more change at Disney Springs as holiday lights, trees, merchandise, and menu items begin to arrive in November!
