It’s Gluten-Free Diet Awareness Month! As someone who has spent many years traveling with a low-gluten diet, I strongly appreciate dining locations offering allergy-sensitive options. While I’ve shared my disappointment in the past that many of the seasonal menus from Disney aren’t terribly diverse when it comes to allergy-friendly options, I am always impressed with the extent to which some Disney Springs restaurants accommodate guests. Just a few weeks ago, I was astounded by the inclusivity of the menu at D-Luxe Burger in Walt Disney World, offering a myriad of options for different dietary requirements.
In light of Gluten-Free Awareness Month, I wanted to highlight an opportunity at a well-known Disney Springs Restaurant that offers one famous dish as a gluten-free option. The Boathouse has legendary Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes that are served with Coleslaw and Chipotle Tartar Sauce for $33.00, and it’s a little-known secret that this whopper of a meal can be ordered in a gluten-free option. Mmmhmmm. That means that if you are on a gluten-free diet, you can still enjoy this waterfront delight with just a quick mention to your server.
I love Crab Cakes; they are up there with some of my favorite foods in the world, so knowing that I can enjoy these in a gluten-free option leaves me with no excuse not to order them every time we visit. Let me know what your favorite gluten-free options are in Walt Disney World!
