Alright pals, if you’ve been waiting for a sign to finally book that Disney World trip, consider this it. Summer 2026 at Walt Disney World is stacked, and I am not being dramatic when I say this might be one of the best summers to visit in years. Sure, there’s big construction projects going on at some of the parks, but there’s plenty of new experiences, new rides, and deals that will make your wallet actually happy. Let’s get into it!
What Is Cool KIDS’ SUMMER?
Running May 26 through September 2026, Cool KIDS’ SUMMER is Disney’s seasonal celebration built entirely with little ones in mind, and it’s included with regular park admission! There will be some extra Disney fun happening across all four parks and resort hotels. It debuted in 2025 and returns this year bigger and better with new shows, character experiences, and dance parties that’ll keep your kids moving from rope drop to close.

What’s New This Summer
Let’s go over highlights, because there’s a lot happening!
Bluey’s Wild World at Animal Kingdom | This is a big one. Starting May 26, Bluey and Bingo take up residence at Conservation Station, making this meet-and-greet alone worth the trip for Bluey-obsessed families. Kids can play games, dance, snap photos, and even learn about Australian animals. Educational AND adorable!

Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live at Hollywood Studios | This is a new stage show where Mickey and Minnie lead a musical adventure to find their friends. Interactive and energetic, it’ll be the kind of show that gets everyone on their feet.

Also opening May 26 at Hollywood Studios? Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets! The beloved coaster has been rethemed with The Electric Mayhem, featuring a brand new soundtrack, queue, and ride experience. We can’t wait to see Kermit at the park again! And just a few days earlier on May 22, a brand new mission starring The Mandalorian and Grogu starts at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run.

Jessie’s Roundup at Magic Kingdom | Toy Story fans, head to the Diamond Horseshoe for crafts, dancing, and yee-haw energy with Jessie, Woody, and the gang! Perfect for the littles who need a breather between rides.

And in case you missed it, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin just received a literal glow-up with new ride vehicles, blasters, targets, updated scenes and enhanced effects! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad also reopens in early May after a year+ long closure; you don’t want to miss all of the new updates to the wildest ride in the wilderness!

GoofyCore at EPCOT | Can you believe this is an actual thing? As part of Cool KIDS’ SUMMER, Goofy, DJ Dance Pants, and the Goof Troop take over CommuniCore Hall with games like Goofy Says, Balloon Bonanza and Parachutes ‘n’ Pipsqueaks. Your kids (…and maybe you?) will lose their minds.

Let’s Talk Discounts
Here’s where I need you to pay attention, because stacking these offers is where the real magic happens:
- Up to 40% off Disney Resort hotels: Most guests save up to 30%, Florida residents save up to 35%, and Annual Passholders can save up to 40% on stays most nights May 1 through October 4.
- Free water park admission on check-in day: Staying at a Disney Resort between May 26 and September 8? You get free admission to chill out at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach on arrival day!
- Free kids’ dining for ages 3–9: When adults book a vacation package with a dining plan and resort stay, kids eat FREE!
So… Should You Go?
I mean, obviously yes. But especially if you have kids in the 3-10 range, summer 2026 is genuinely one of the most value-packed times to visit Walt Disney World in recent memory. Hot? Yes. Busy? Sure. But with a resort discount, free kids’ dining, and a water park day built right into your arrival? It’s even easier to make it a summer to remember.
And if you’re still on the fence… Bluey is waiting for you. Don’t let her down. Also, Kermit. Don’t disappoint Kermit!!
